The name of the Rum Black Tot refers to the day when the custom of giving sailors a daily ration of rum was abandoned.
It was July 31, 1970, and sailors called it Black Tot Day.
Black Tot Master Blender's Reserve 2021 is a limited edition rum created to commemorate the centenary of the last allotment of rum issued to Australian sailors serving on British ships. It is made from a blend of rums from Guyana, Barbados, Trinidad, Jamaica and Australia, matured for between 9 and 24 years, with some of the spirits matured in sherry casks.
Aroma : Cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, mango, bananas, dark chocolate, citrus, mint, thyme.
Taste : Orange and mango juice, fresh mint, brown sugar, salted caramel, guava, passion fruit, honey.
Finish: Long, citrus, thyme, oregano, a hint of petroleum.
