Product description
High West Distillery was established in 2007 and is the first registered distillery in Utah since 1870.
Initially, it was only involved in bottling and distribution, and its first whiskey, Rendezvous Rye blended from 16- and 6-year-old distillates, won a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirit Competition in 2008. The High West Double Rye presented here is a blend of 2-year-old whiskey from MGP Indiana (95% rye and 5% malted barley) and 16-year-old whiskey from 1972 Barton Distillery with 53% rye. In 2018, the latter was replaced by its own 7-year-old rye whiskey (80% rye and 20% malted barley). Since 2016, the rights to the High West brand have been held by Constellation Brands.
