The vast majority of whisky producers, including of course independent publishers, celebrated the new millennium with commemorative limited editions.
As a rule, these were quite expensive editions of old whisky offered in a rich presentation. Signatory Vintage did not quite follow a similar path, preparing editions of both old and relatively young whisky, in both cases coming from carefully selected casks. One of the older ones was the Bowmore presented here - distilled on October 8, 1968 and aged in hogshead cask no. 3817 for over three decades. The Millennium Edition hit the market on November 4, 1999 in an edition of just 238 bottles.
