Product description
In the opinion of most connoisseurs, Silvano Samaroli is a whisky publisher deserving of the highest respect, and even the title of visionary.
He began his whisky career in 1968 and spent the next four decades running the company. Most of the early releases were highly valued and are extremely rare at auction. In 2008, Samaroli left the management of the company in the hands of Antonio Bleve, with whose family he had worked for many years, but he himself played an active role until his death in February 2017. The Clynelish presented here, distilled in January 1990, spent over eight years in two casks (nos. 1015 and 1016), which in September 1998 resulted in 492 bottles of cask strength whisky (59% abv).
