The history of Mohan Meakin, an Indian producer of rum, whisky, brandy and beer, began in 1855, when British entrepreneur Edward Dyer founded a brewery in Kasauli, in the northern part of the country.
The company currently has 3 distilleries and 2 breweries. The Old Monk brand debuted in 1954. It currently sells around 4 million cases of rum domestically and worldwide.
Rum Old Monk Supreme XXX is a rum made from molasses and aged in American oak barrels. One of the older editions included in the brand's offer, although it is difficult to find information about its age. Sold in bottles in the shape of a monk, it can be the decoration of many a collection.
Aroma: Molasses, cane sugar, dried fruit, caramel, spices.
Taste: Notes of chocolate, fruit, cinnamon, cloves, vanilla.
Finish : Long, with notes of chocolate and spices.
