Product description
Dufftown Distillery, based in the capital of Scotch whisky, was built in 1896 by a group of private investors.
One of them was Peter Mackenzie, the creator of The Real Mackenzie blend formula, available on the market to this day. Since the 1930s, Dufftown single malt has been one of the core of Bell's blends, and we can also find it in other blends from the Diageo portfolio, such as Johnnie Walker. The Dufftown 13 year old presented here is a proposal from The Single Cask Ltd. from August 2021. The whisky distilled on March 8, 2008, after basic maturation in oak barrels, was finished in a refilled quarter cask of Pedro Ximénez sherry (no. 65A). Its content translated into 142 bottles of cask strength whisky (58.6% abv).
