Product description
Glen Grant Nº 2 Distillery began operation in 1897 and closed after just five years.
In 1965, after a comprehensive modernization, it resumed distilling as Caperdonich (Gaelic for “Secret Well”), and was taken over by Seagram 10 years later. Almost all of its production went into blends, mainly Chivas Regal, Queen Anne, 100 Pipers and Something Special. Pernod Ricard took over Seagram’s Scottish assets in 2001 and soon decided to close the distillery. The Caperdonich 20 Year Old presented here was distilled on July 6, 2000 and aged in hogshead cask no. 29498. Bottled on April 28, 2021 at cask strength (58.1% abv) by Signatory Vintage in the prestigious Cask Strength Collection in an edition of 244 bottles.
