Product description
The Glenlivet Distillery, based in Speyside, has been producing whisky since 1824. At the time, the area was notorious for illegal distilling and trading in whisky, with records suggesting there were over 200 distilleries operating there in 1815.
After the expansion completed in 2018, Glenlivet holds the title of the largest single malt distillery in Scotland – equipped with 14 pairs of stills, it can produce 21 million liters of distillate per year. The 13-year-old version presented here is a whisky aged exclusively in first-fill American oak barrels; it debuted on the French market in 2021. The brand's sales last year amounted to 14.5 million bottles, a similar amount was recorded by its eternal rival Glenfiddich.
