Product description
In 2012, BenRiach Distillery rebuilt its own malting facility (the original one remained in use until 1998) and officially became the second distillery in Speyside to produce malt, alongside Balvenie.
Since 2016, BenRiach has been owned by the American Brown-Forman Corporation, and Dr. Rachel Barrie is the blender. In 2021, BenRiach Malting Season debuted, a whisky distilled exclusively from barley (Concerto variety) malted in its own malthouse in the fall of 2012. The whisky was aged for about nine years in bourbon barrels and so-called virgin casks and bottled at 48.7% abv, natural color and without cold filtration on June 22, 2021. The edition consisted of 6,672 bottles.
