Product description
Caperdonich Distillery was built by James Grant in 1897 and originally operated as Glen Grant Nº2.
It experienced a long break in production between 1902 and 1965, after which it was revived and distilled for blends, mainly Chivas Regal, Queen Anne and 100 Pipers. In 2002 it stopped distilling again, never to be revived. After a few years, the buildings were demolished and the property was sold to Forsyth of Rothes, a renowned producer of stills. The Caperdonich 30 years old presented here is an absolute jewel in the "Secret Speyside" collection. The whisky was aged in first-fill bourbon casks and bottled at cask strength (53.6% abv) in 2020 as Batch CA/002.
