Product description
BenRiach is indisputably one of most respected Scotch whisky brands in the 21st Century.
The distillery had much less luck in the past, founded in 1897 ceased production just three years later and had to wait 65 years for a new lease of life. Acquired by Seagram in 1978 BenRiach remained under stewartship of Chivas Bros. and worked more like a research lab than commercial distillery. Intra Trading Co. acquired the distillery in 2004 and did tremendous job building the brand and Brown-Forman Corporation, the current owner, follows the path. BenRiach 10 years old has been part of the core range for the last quarter of a century. This vatting of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry cask is bottled at 43% abv and makes perfect introduction to the distillery extensive range.
