Product description
For years Cardhu’s core range included basically one expression – 12 years old but in the second decade of the new Century things are rocking.
After 15, 18 and 21 years old bottlings the company decided to add some NAS bottlings, such as Amber Rock and Gold Reserve. The latter is coming from hand picked toasted oak casks and comparing to standard 12 years old offers fruitier nose and a drier palate. Cardhu Gold Reserve made a debut in 2014.
Nose: sweet and fruity, apples, apricots, grapes, vanilla, honey, toffee and just hints of ginger.
Palate: fruity with stronger dry, oaky notes, apples, toffee, shortbread, cinnamon and honey.
Finish: medium long, milk chocolate with caramel combined with delicate oaky dryness.
