Product description
Ararat is an Armenian brandy produced since 1887 originally by Yerevan Brandy Co. and more recently by Ararat Brandy Co.
According to the current regulations, Ararat brandy can only be distilled from locally grown grape varieties, including: Voskehta, Garan Dmak, Mskhali, Kangun and Rkatsiteli. Armenia has excellent conditions for grape cultivation, the best grapes come from the Ararat Valley, located at the foot of Mount Ararat. In 1999, Pernod Ricard purchased the Yerevan Brandy Company for $30 million. In 2017, the plant was visited by Charles Aznavour, a French singer, the son of Armenian emigrants (born in 1924 as Shahnur Vaghinak Aznavurian). He tasted Ararat brandy there with blending masters, choosing components for the edition presented here. The artist also left an autograph, which was placed on the bottle and presentation carton.
