Product description
The Foursquare Distillery is located on a former sugar cane plantation on the small island of Barbados, at the eastern end of the Caribbean Sea.
The owners of Foursquare Distillery, the Seale family, cultivated sugar cane as early as the mid-17th century, and since 1820 they have also been involved in the production of rum. The rum factory has been operating in its current location since 1996. At that time, they purchased a defunct, run-down and almost completely ruined sugar factory, founded in 1636. After renovation and modernization, the plant has three column stills and two stills. Rum is produced there in small batches, exclusively from molasses. The modern plant also includes a bottling line and bonded warehouses. The company is currently headed by Richard Seale, a fourth generation representative of RL Seale & Company.
Foursquare Barbados 2007 is a rum from The Colours of Rum series, selected and bottled by Wealth Solutions. A blend of rums distilled in stills and column stills, matured in American bourbon oak barrels for 13 years, 11 of which in the tropical climate of Barbados, then aged for less than two years in an English single malt whisky barrel. Edition from a single barrel from the 2007 vintage, limited to 328 bottles.
