Product description
Glen Grant Distillery has been operating since 1840 and is the first of five distilleries built in Rothes.
Its founders were brothers John and James Grant, previously involved in illegal whisky production. Glen Grant has been one of the most popular single malts for years, at the turn of the century it was second in sales statistics, second only to Glenfiddich (it is currently outside the top ten). Glen Grant currently uses about 50% of its potential (in 2021 it produced 3.1 million liters of distillate). The whisky presented here is a proposal of the Dutch company The Ultimate Whisky Company - distilled on January 25, 2000, it spent over 21 years in a refilled sherry butt cask (no. 1868) and was bottled on June 26, 2021 at 46% ABV and without chill filtration in an edition of 730 bottles.
