Product description
Akkeshi Distillery, based in Hokkaido, was built by Kenten Jisuguyo, a distributor of alcoholic beverages.
The facility is equipped with two Scottish stills and can produce 300,000 liters of distillate per year. Akkeshi began distilling in October 2016, and its first single malt, Akkeshi Sarorunkamuy, debuted in February 2020. Akkeshi Boshu was released in May 2021 and is the third in the “24 Solar Terms” series. It refers to the division of the year into 24 equal solar phases, the ninth of which, Boshu, is considered the best time for sowing (usually around June 5). The whisky was aged in bourbon, sherry, wine and Mizunara oak barrels for at least three years, and the edition consisted of 9,000 bottles.
