Product description
“Special Releases” is a limited series of Diageo whiskies released every autumn.
It debuted in 2002, composed of the best and rarest single malt and single grain whiskies from the group's portfolio bottled in cask strength. The 2021 release consisted of eight single malts, from the youngest, 8-year-old Talisker to the oldest in the collection, 26-year-old Lagavulina. This collection is called "Legends Untold"; the whisky labels depict fairy-tale creatures that come to life after scanning the QR code on them. The Talisker 8 years old presented here was aged in refilled "Heavily Peated Casks". The Talisker team tested the level of phenol compounds in the aged whisky and selected those with the highest concentration.
