Coloma Rum comes from the very heart of Colombia, and is produced at Hacienda Coloma, a traditional coffee plantation with centuries-old traditions.
The plantation is located at an altitude of 1,700 meters above sea level, on the outskirts of Fusagasuga, near Bogota. The rum is made from molasses and matures in white oak barrels previously used to store bourbon. As befits a coffee plantation, the final maturation phase takes place in barrels that previously held coffee liqueur.
Coloma Artesanal Rum 8 Years Old is a rum matured in American bourbon barrels using the solera system. The final maturation stage, traditionally for Coloma rums, took place in coffee liqueur barrels.
Aroma : Notes of vanilla, coffee, mocha, oak accent.
Taste: A delicate balance between vanilla, mocha and mild ground coffee.
Finish : Long, soft and pleasant.
