The Ultimate Whisky Company is a Dutch company based in Amersfoort.

Founded in 1994 by Han and Maurice van Wees, the company initially specialised in miniature editions. The Ultimate range of whiskies is bottled without chill filtration, either in cask strength or at 46% ABV. Since 1994, over 1,000 editions have been released under the Ultimate banner. The Ben Nevis presented here was distilled on 17 October 2013 and aged in a 418 hogshead cask for over seven years. Bottled at 46% ABV and without chill filtration on 24 June 2021 in an edition of 409 bottles.

Nose: barley malt, vanilla, lemons, green apples, brown sugar, roasted peanuts, a touch of white pepper and oak.

Palate: malty, sweet breakfast cereals, milk fudge, sponge cake, vanilla, apples, lemon peel, notes of pepper, ginger and oak.

Finish: medium long, with notes of breakfast cereal, vanilla, sweet bread, summer fruits, pepper and oak.
