The Single Cask Ltd. was founded in 2010 by Ben Curtis (initially operating as Malt Vault Company).
It has offices in London and Singapore, and in addition to bottling whiskey, it has a bar and a retail store. The company offers only single cask whiskeys, bottled in their natural color, at cask strength and without chill filtration. The Royal Brackla presented here, distilled on March 24, 2009, spent 12 years in bourbon barrel no. 304160, and was bottled on April 1, 2021 in an edition of 232 bottles. The Royal Brackla Distillery is based in the Highlands and produces over 4 million liters of distillate per year. The plant is owned by Bacardi, and the malt from the distillery is one of the main components of Dewar's blends.
Aroma : sweet breakfast cereals, vanilla, milk fudge, apple blossoms, pears, gooseberries, white pepper, a touch of cinnamon and young oak.
Palate: sweet bread, vanilla, cappuccino, brown sugar, baked apples and pears, eucalyptus drops, lemon peel, cinnamon and oak.
Finish: quite long, with notes of vanilla, brown sugar, ripe summer fruits, a touch of fresh herbs and oak.
