Product description
Hampden Estate is one of the oldest sugar cane plantations in Jamaica.
Founded in 1753 by Scotsman Archibald Sterling, it is still famous for its excellent quality, full-flavoured rums distilled in copper stills. Hampden rums are famous for their high level of esters, produced during fermentation using wild yeast, which results in a bouquet of the drink rich in fruit aromas.
Hampden Rum 2010 LROK is a molasses-based rum, subjected to spontaneous, slow fermentation with wild yeast, distilled in a copper pot still with a double retort. Matured for 11 years in the tropical climate of Jamaica in American bourbon oak barrels. Edition distilled in 2010 and bottled by Velier in 2021. The rum contains 334.7 g/hpl of esters, which gives it the historical LROK category.
