Riverboat Rye Whiskey / 40% / 0.75l

Riverboat is a rye whiskey from the portfolio of Bardstown Barrel Selection, which since June 2015 has operated as a subsidiary of Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, distributors of wines and spirits, including our Luksusowa Vodka.

Riverboat is like the younger sister of Redemption Rye, both come from the MGP Indiana distillery, both were distilled from a mash of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. We don't know how long the distillates intended for the Riverboat brand spent in barrels (probably about two years), we only know that the maturation time was shorter than in the case of Redemption.

Aroma: a mixture of dry herbs, apples, allspice, lemongrass, potpourri, pepper and a trace of tobacco.

Taste : herbal-spicy, pepper, ginger, anise, dried herbs, grapefruit, traces of grass and oak shavings.

Finish: medium long, slightly alcoholic and spicy, with notes of pepper, herbs, a bit of hay and pine needles.
