Product description
George Dickel Tennessee Whiskey debuted in 1964, previously offered as Cascade Whiskey.
The original distillery ceased operation in 1919 (after the repeal of prohibition, Cascade whiskey was produced in Kentucky) and was rebuilt only in 1958 in a place about 1 km away from it. Today, the distillery and the Dickel brand belong to the Diageo concern. The whiskey formula lists 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% barley malt. In 1999, the concern's board decided to suspend production, but it was resumed four years later. George Dickel Cascade Hollow debuted in 2007. The decision to release a 3-year-old whiskey was forced by growing demand and the lack of adequate warehouse stocks after a several-year break in distillation.
