Product description
Daviess County Distilling Company was established in 1874 and operated until 1919, when the Kentucky state government banned the distribution of alcoholic beverages.
In the 1990s, the rights to the Daviess County Distilling name were purchased by Luxco Inc., but we had to wait until 2019 for this bourbon to return to the market. The current Daviess County bourbon was created by combining two formulas – rye and wheat bourbon. The Straight Bourbon version presented here debuted in February 2020 and contains whiskey aged for four years in freshly charred American oak barrels. In addition, the company also offers two finishes – Cabernet Sauvignon Finish and French Oak Finish. In January 2019, Luxco Inc. (along with Lux Row Distillers) was acquired by MGP Ingredients from Indiana for $475 million.
