Product description
Akkeshi Distillery is an investment by Tokyo-based company Kenten Jisuguyo, which deals, among other things, in the distribution of alcoholic beverages.
The distillery is located on the island of Hokkaido, in a remote area covered with marshes and peat bogs, while the local climate is similar to the climate of the island of Islay. The plant is equipped with two Scottish stills and can produce 300,000 liters of distillate per year. Akkeshi Usui is the first blended whisky in the company's offer, and the second item in the "24 Solar term series" collection inspired by the old Asian calendar dividing the year into 24 solar seasons. The whisky is a blend of its own single malts aged for at least three years and imported malt and grain whiskies aged in warehouses in Hokkaido. This limited edition (15,000 bottles) hit the market in 2021.
