Product description
Bowmore, the oldest working distillery on Islay, began producing whisky in 1779.
It is now owned by Morrison Bowmore Distillers Ltd, which in turn is owned by Beam Suntory. Bowmore single malt is currently the third most popular whisky from Islay, with annual sales of 2 million bottles, behind Laphroaig and Lagavulin. The old versions of Bowmore provide an unforgettable tasting experience, after many years of maturation, the whisky's palette combines the sweetness of tropical fruits with a subtle hint of peat. The 1967 Vintage edition presented here is as rare as it is extraordinary. The whisky was distilled a few years after Stanley Morrison took over the plant and matured in sherry casks. This edition was introduced to the market in the 1980s.
