Product description
With global sales of 4.1 million cases (2020), Tanqueray ranks third on the list of most popular gins (first is Gordon's, 6.7 million cases, second is Bombay Sapphire, 4.3 million cases).
Tanqueray gin, the creation of Charles Tanqueray, debuted in 1830. The London Dry formula lists just four ingredients: juniper berries, coriander seeds, angelica root and liquorice, although it cannot be ruled out that this is an incomplete list. In 2000, Tanqueray No. 10 debuted, whose formula included twice as many ingredients - in addition to the aforementioned four, these were grapefruits, limes, oranges and chamomile flowers. Its name refers to the small still (marked with the number 10) in which distillation experiments are carried out. The Tanqueray No. Ten Grapefruit & Rosemary presented here joined the offer in early 2020. This time, the creators of the formula focused on a higher content of grapefruit and rosemary. Tanqueray is in the Diageo portfolio of "brands" and is produced at the Cameronbridge Distillery in Scotland.
Tanqueray No. Ten Grapefruit & Rosemary combines aromas of citrus, juniper and licorice with herbal notes of rosemary. The taste is similar, citrus, juniper, pine needles and herbs. We recommend serving with Mediterranean Tonic with a piece of grapefruit and a sprig of rosemary.
