Product description
Kujira Ryukyu is a single grain whisky from the portfolio of Shin Group, a company established in 2012 with the mission of promoting "unique Japanese alcoholic beverages".
In a few years, the company has expanded incredibly and now its products are available in over 40 countries. Kujira is indeed a “unique alcoholic beverage,” a whisky distilled from 100% rice (an Indica variety). Whiskies from at least three distilleries are bottled under the Kujira brand; the Ryukyu Whisky 12 years old, distilled in Okinawa at Kumesan Distillery, has been aged exclusively in sherry casks. Other distilleries that make up the Kujira brand include Masahiro Shuzo Distillery (Kujira 5 years old American Oak Virgin Cask) and Shinzato Shuzo (Kujira 8 years old Bourbon & Sherry Cask and 10 years old Bourbon Cask).
