Amrut Distilleries Ltd. is an Indian distillery company established in 1948.
Until recently, it was almost completely unknown in Europe, but this situation changed thanks to the single malt whisky produced in the plant in Bangalore, India, which entered the European and world markets quite dynamically around 2005. However, the company is primarily engaged in the production of other alcohols, mainly brandy, rum, vodka, gin and blended whisky.
Amrut Two Indies is a spirit made from rum produced in India, in the Amrut distillery, and distillates from the Caribbean – Jamaica, Barbados and Guyana. The part of the blend that comes from India is based on jaggery, a concentrated sugar cane juice, which may also include dates or palm sugar, used in India mainly for the production of sweets.
Aroma : Almonds, fresh sugar cane, tropical fruits, bananas, marshmallows, cherries.
Palate : Sugar cane, tropical fruits, honey, peaches and cherries.
Finish : Long, fruity.
