Product description
Sestante Import was founded in the late 1970s by Ernesto Mainardi.
Initially, it was involved in importing whiskey, and it was not until 1985 that the first edition of Sestante single cask debuted. In 2000, Mainardi proposed another series of whiskeys, Silver Seal, considered a continuation of Sestante. In 2010, the rights to the Sestante and Silver Seal lines were purchased by Massimo Righi, owner of Whisky Antique, who continues Mainardi's work. The new editions of Silver Seal and The Sestante Collecton are receiving excellent reviews, but the rare single cask whiskeys released during Ernesto Mainardi's term remain rare. Such is the Bowmore presented here, a whiskey distilled in 1971 and bottled after 18 years of maturation in 1989.
