Product description
Glen Grant Distillery has been operating since 1840 and is the first of five distilleries built in Rothes.
Its founders were brothers John and James Grant, previously involved in illegal whisky production. Glen Grant has been one of the most popular single malts for years, at the turn of the century it was second in sales statistics, second only to Glenfiddich. The Glen Grant presented here is a unique whisky - distilled on April 10, 1967, when the distillery still belonged to the founding family and malted the barley itself, and aged in a sherry cask for 30 years. Bottled in April 1997 by Signatory Vintage for the Italian importer Velier Imports based in Genoa.
