Cocktail Recipe

GIN&TONIC

INGREDIENTS:

• 40ml Fords Gin
• Bottle of tonic 200 ml
• Garnish: lemon slice

PREPARATION:

• Fill a tall highball glass with ice.
• Add gin and tonic.
• Garnish with a slice of lemon. You can also use other fruits, such as orange or grapefruit.

GIMLET

INGREDIENTS:

• 40ml Fords Gin
• 20 ml fresh lime juice
• 10 ml sugar syrup
• Garnish: a slice of lime

PREPARATION:

• Pour Fords Gin, lime juice, and sugar syrup into a shaker.
• Add ice and shake vigorously.
• Using a strainer, pour everything into a cocktail glass.
• Garnish with a slice of lime.

Tip: To prepare sugar syrup, combine equal amounts of water and sugar and boil until the sugar dissolves.

NEGRONI

INGREDIENTS:

• 30ml Fords Gin
• 30ml Campari
• 30 ml red sweet vermouth
• Garnish: orange wedge

PREPARATION:

• Pour Fords Gin, sweet red vermouth and Campari into a bar glass.
• Add ice and blend for about 20 seconds.
• Pour into a short glass.
• Add a slice of orange

Created in London at Thames Distillers, Fords Gin was born from a collaboration between Charles Maxwell, Master Distiller, continuing the family tradition of distilling for eleven generations, and gin expert Simon Ford, who set out to create a universal gin that would meet the needs of bartenders and gin lovers.

Fords Gin is made with a traditional base of juniper berries and coriander seeds, balanced by citrus, other botanicals and spices, which are steeped and then distilled. These botanicals combine to create a rich flavour that is a great base for cocktails.

Brand History

Fords Gin was created by Simon Ford, an expert in the world of gins with over 20 years of experience in the spirits industry.

In conversations with bartenders, he discovered that professionals wanted a gin created with cocktails in mind. Versatile, yet bold. One that would work in all gin cocktails without losing its best qualities.

When creating the Fords Gin recipe, Simon Ford mapped out classic cocktails and their flavor profiles. On this basis, he selected nine ingredients (herbs and spices) that would ideally build each cocktail. It is thanks to such a meticulous and unique approach that Fords Gin is the perfect base for classic and avant-garde drinks based on this type of alcohol.
