The history of the AH Riise brand began in June 1838, when Albert Heinrich Riise became the sole pharmacist on the island of Saint Thomas, and thus obtained a monopoly on the production of alcohol in his pharmacy there. Thanks to colonialism, the company had access to the best exotic goods, which it could later supply to the Old Continent. Thanks to its rums, Riise has made a name for itself around the world, but apart from its flagship premium products, matured in different ways, the company also produces other, equally interesting alcohols.
