Product description
Balmenach is a medium-sized distillery in Speyside, with three pairs of stills and the capacity to produce 2.8 million litres of distillate per year.
Built in 1824, it became DCL’s property a century later, and since 1997 has been owned by Inver House Distillers, producing almost exclusively for the company’s blends. Balmenach has no official single malt release, with small quantities being released under the Deerstalker label and in independent publishers. Distilled in November 2007, this whisky spent 12 years in a refill hogshead cask, DL 13776. Bottled at 48.4% abv and unchillfiltered by Douglas Laing & Co. in their popular Old Particular series in December 2019 in an edition of 345 bottles.
