Product description
Caol Ila Distillery was built in 1846 by Hector Henderson.
For almost the entire first century of its history, it experienced financial problems, including the bankruptcy of its owners. In 1927, the distillery was taken over by the DCL concern, it currently belongs to Diageo and, equipped with three pairs of stills, produces 6.5 million liters of distillate annually. Caol Ila is often offered by independent publishers, which undoubtedly contributes to the growth of its popularity. The Dun Eideann proposal presented here is a whisky distilled in May 2010 and aged for 8 years in cask no. HL 14572. The edition consisted of 252 bottles. Dun Eideann Scotch Whisky Co. was established in 1995 as a subsidiary of Signatory Vintage; its editions are intended for export, mainly to France, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.
