Product description
Mac-Talla is a collection of three whiskies released in spring 2021 by Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers.
Previously Morrison & Mackay, the company is now owned by Brian and Jamie Morrison (father and son), whose family has been involved in whisky for five generations (Stanley Morrison, Brian’s father, bought Bowmore Distillery in 1963 to form Morrison Bowmore Distillers Ltd). “Mac-Talla” is Gaelic for “Echo” and includes Mara, Terra and Strata. The former is a whisky from an undisclosed distillery based on Islay, aged in American oak barrels and bottled at cask strength. The whisky is a nod to the Atlantic, and its huge influence on the character of Islay single malts, according to the producer.
