Glenfarclas Distillery was founded in 1836 by Robert Hay and has been in the possession of the Grant family since 1865, with the sixth generation now running the family business.
Glenfarclas boasts the largest stills in Speyside (29,600 litres of wash stills and 25,000 litres of spirit stills), and its annual production reaches 3.4 million litres of alcohol. The vast majority of its spirits are matured in sherry casks. Each year, the distillery releases dozens of vintage and single cask editions, the latter often intended for individual consumers. The "Spring Edition 2021" presented here was based on spirits matured in sherry casks and intended for the Dutch market. The whisky was bottled with a natural colour and at 55% alcohol.
