Product description
The Famous Grouse is one of the most popular Scotch whiskies with annual sales of around 3 million cases. The brand debuted in 1896 as "The Grouse" and was renamed "The Famous Grouse" in 1905.
In the summer of 2018, The Edrington Group, the owner of the brand, announced new editions of Famous Grouse, creating the so-called Cask Series. This series shows the influence of wood on the development of the flavor and aroma palette of whisky. Its author is the master of Famous Grouse blending, Kirsteen Campbell, and The Edrington Group master of maturation Stuart MacPherson. The Ruby Cask presented here is a whisky in the creation of which port-seasoned barrels played a part.
