Akkeshi first distilled in October 2016, its first single malt, Akkeshi Sarorunkamuy, debuted in February 2020. The Akkeshi Kenro ("kenro" means "cool dew"), presented here, hit the market a few months later. The whisky was distilled from barley malted with local peat and aged in bourbon, sherry, wine and Mizunara oak barrels. The edition consisted of 15,000 bottles.
