Glengoyne 10-year-old / 40% / 0.7l
- Glengoyne is definitely one of the most unique Scottish distilleries.
Product description
Glengoyne is undoubtedly one of Scotland's most unique distilleries.
“Highland Lane” the historic border separating the Lowlands from the Highlands runs through the property and makes the whisky there interregional – distilled in the Highlands and aged in the Lowlands. Glengoyne distills from malt completely free of phenol compounds, which, in addition to the mild climate, gives the whisky a more “lowland” than “highland” character. The 10-year-old is one of the “friendliest” single malts on the market and a great introduction to the company’s offering. Around 20% of the distillates used in this edition come from sherry casks. Since 2003, Glengoyne Distillery has been owned by Ian Macleod Distillers and is one of the most visited distilleries (over 75,000 whisky lovers a year).
