Product description
In 2007, Heaven Hill Distillery launched the Parker's Heritage Collection dedicated to master distiller Parker Beam.
Earl Parker Beam, Jim Beam’s great-nephew, worked at Heaven Hill for 57 years, from 1960 until January 2017 (he died after a long battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). The series was intended to showcase the diversity of whiskeys produced at Heaven Hill, which at the time had a current inventory of over 700,000 barrels. This second edition of the series has historical significance, based on 41 barrels filled between 1989 and 1990 at the original Heaven Hill distillery in Bardstown (the distillery burned down in 1996 and was never rebuilt). It is also one of the oldest bourbons offered for sale to the public.
Nose: extremely complex, dusty antique bookstore, old oak, cigar box, bitter oranges, dried plums, caramel, cinnamon, black pepper, coffee beans and dried herbs.
Palate: quite strong oak tones, herbal mixture, burnt sugar, bitter orange jam, dark chocolate, roasted almonds, nutmeg, cinnamon, pepper, tobacco and leather.
Finish : infinitely long, strongly oaky and spicy, with all the elements of the flavor palette in a wonderful symphony.
