Product description
Redbreast Whiskey debuted in 1939. It was a spirit distilled at the John Jameson & Son distillery in Dublin, bottled and distributed by W. & A. Gilbey.
Redbreast is currently part of the Pernod Ricard portfolio. The whisky is triple distilled from an equal mash of malted and unmalted barley at the Midleton distillery, and matures in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. This edition is a departure from the norm for official releases. Distilled in 1998, it spent nearly two decades in an Oloroso sherry cask no. 70946, and was bottled at cask strength (55.7% abv) for France’s La Maison du Whisky in 2017 in an edition of 648 bottles.
