Product description
Writer's Tears is a whiskey brand from the portfolio of Bernard and Rosemary Walsh's Walsh Whiskey Distillery Co.
It debuted in 2009, shortly after the success of The Irishman. Initially, the Walshes operated as Independent Bottlers, but motivated by their success, in 2016 they began distilling in their own distillery in Royal Oak, built with financial support from Illva Saronno. Three years later, the partners went their separate ways, and the distillery remained the exclusive property of the Italians.
Writer's Tears Red Head is a triple-distilled single malt whiskey from an undisclosed distillery, aged exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks. It debuted in 2016 and immediately won a gold medal in the Irish Whiskey Masters competition. It is currently in the basic offer.
