Product description
An Dúlamán Gin is the product of Irish company Sliab Liag Distillers, the first distiller based in County Donegal for 175 years.
The company was founded in 2014 by James and Moira Doherty, and currently operates two distilleries – An Dúlamán Gin Distillery and Ardara Whiskey Distillery. An Dúlamán is a completely unique gin, with six traditional botanicals – juniper berries, lemon and orange peel, angelica root, coriander seed and cassia bark – and five types of seaweed. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find their Polish names, so we’ve provided the original spellings in brackets (sweet kombu, dulse, pepper dulse, dillisk, and carrageen moss). The gin is distilled in small batches in a 500-litre copper still and bottled at 43.2% abv. An Dúlamán has won several major awards, including a silver medal at the Gin Masters (2018) and gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (2021).
An Dúlamán is a gin that carries the breath of the ocean, aromas of juniper, pine needles and a touch of cinnamon. On the palate, a combination of sea salt, citrus zesty, juniper and umami. The Dohertys recommend serving it with Fever Tree Elderflower tonic and a slice of lemon or bitter lemonade. Another option is An Dúlamán Dry Martini.
