Product description
Glendronach Distillery was built in 1826 by James Allardes, the son of a local landowner.
William Teacher & Sons took over the distillery in 1960 and doubled its production capacity. In the 1970s, Glendronach not only played a major role in the Teacher's blend, it was also one of the five most popular single malts in the world. Subsequent owners (Allied Distillers and Chivas Bros.) neglected the distillery until its acquisition in 2008 by BenRiach Distillery Co. restored the brand to its rightful status. In 2016, Glendronach was taken over by Brown-Forman Corporation. Distilled on May 1, 1992, the whisky presented here spent 16 years in an Oloroso No. 39 sherry cask. Bottled at 60.8% abv for Versailles Dranken from Nijmegen, Holland, on March 16, 2009 in an edition of 306 bottles.

Palate : very rich, crème brûlée, blackcurrants, prunes, rum-soaked raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg, black pepper, notes of leather and oak.
Finish: long and intense, with notes of bitter orange jam, raisins, black pepper, cloves, cocoa, a touch of tobacco and oak.
