Emperor is the venture of two rum enthusiasts, Christophe Aulner and Bruno Le Merle, who met in Mauritius.

This is a relatively new brand from Mauritius, where the tradition of growing sugar cane and making rums goes back far, to the early 18th century. Mauritius is famous primarily for rums made from fresh sugar cane juice, the so-called rum agricole. Emperor offers something new, unusual - a blend of rums made from molasses with those made from fresh sugar cane juice. The brand name is a tribute to the British King George V, under whose rule Mauritius was from 1910 to 1936, and who was also a great rum enthusiast.

Emperor Private Collection is a blend of agricole and molasses-based rums, aged in oak barrels for 5 to 12 years. After the main maturation and blending of the individual components of the rum was completed, it was transferred to red wine barrels from Château Pape Clément, one of the most famous wineries in the Bordeaux region. Emperor spent an additional 5 months in these barrels.

Nose : Leather, spices, tropical fruits, coffee, tobacco.

Palate : Fruits, beeswax, toasted oak, spices, citrus.

Finish: Long, dry, notes of oak.
