Glen Keith 28-year-old Special Aged Release / 43% / 0.7l
- Glen Keith was one of the first distilleries to be built in Scotland in the 20th Century.
Product description
Glen Keith was one of the first Scottish distilleries built in the 20th century (1957).
Almost all of the production went into Seagram's portfolio of blends, mainly Passport and 100 Pipers. Distillation ceased in 1999 and we had to wait 14 years for it to resume. Today, the plant is owned by Chivas Bros, a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard, and equipped with six stills produces around 6 million liters of distillate per year, most of which goes into the aforementioned blends, while Glen Keith single malt remains almost unknown. The limited edition presented here contains whisky distilled in the early 1990s and aged for 28 years in first-fill bourbon barrels.
