Product description
Captain's Reserve debuted in May 2018 in the Glenlivet Distillery core range.
It is a blend of distillates aged in bourbon and sherry casks, finished for six months in cognac casks. This edition is a nod to Captain William Smith Grant, great-grandson of the distillery's founder, George Smith. The captain fought in France during World War I, and after its end he led Glenlivet during the difficult years of American prohibition and actively promoted Scotch whisky in the European and American markets. Captain's Reserve is the first single malt finished in cognac casks permanently included in the core offer.
