Product description
Hampden Estate is one of the oldest sugar cane plantations in Jamaica.
Founded in 1753 by Scotsman Archibald Sterling, it is still famous for its excellent quality, full-flavoured rums distilled in copper stills. Hampden rums are famous for their high level of esters, produced during fermentation using wild yeast, which results in a bouquet of the drink rich in fruit aromas.
Hampden Great House is a blend of two rums produced at the Hampden Distillery in Trelawny, Jamaica. One is a light rum marked OWH (80-120 grams of esters) distilled in 2013, while the other is a high-ester, extremely concentrated aromatic rum marked DOK (1500-1600 grams of esters) from 2017. A blend of 80% OWH and 20% DOK.
