Product description
Glengoyne Distillery is based in the village of Dumgoyne, approximately 15 miles north of Glasgow, close to Loch Lomond.
Now owned by private company Ian Macleod, it produces around a million litres of alcohol a year. As the owners say, “Glengoyne is distilled from malted barley using hot air, without a trace of peat smoke.” The 21-year-old version presented here is from the core range from 2020. The whisky was matured exclusively in sherry casks, mainly first-fill European oak.

Palate: milk chocolate, caramel, toffee apples, raisins, honey-roasted nuts, mocha, orange peel, cinnamon, cloves and sherry-soaked oak.
Finish: quite long, with notes of dried fruit, roasted nuts, cinnamon, a touch of pepper, sherry and oak.
